Tatsuhiko Hoshina

President and Chief Executive Officer

Tatsuhiko Hoshina (Tats) is President and Chief Executive Officer of Tokio Millennium Re Ltd. Together with Shin-ichiro Okada, he is the co-founder of Tokio Millennium Re Ltd.

Tats has over 25 years of experience in the field of reinsurance and portfolio management as part of the Tokio Marine Group. He joined Tokio Marine in April 1986 as an international casualty reinsurance underwriter. In 1991, he was transferred to the Group’s reinsurance operation in London and became the first Japanese underwriter in the London market. Upon returning to Tokyo in 1995, he was in charge of risk management and purchased outward reinsurance protection for the group.

Tats received a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Keio University, Japan in 1986 and a Master of Science degree in management from Stanford University in 2005.
