Tomihiro (Tomi) Segawa

Tomi joined Tokio Millennium Re in September 2010 as the General Representative of Tokio Millennium Re Ltd.’s new Zürich Branch. He became Chief Operating Officer in October 2011. Tomi has over 30 years of reinsurance experience as a professional reinsurance underwriter.

Prior to joining Tokio Millennium Re, Tomi worked at Swiss Re where he held various key positions, including Client Manager, Group Product Manager, as Head of Treaty Desk of the Japan Branch. Tomi has a Bachelor of Arts degree in German literature from Sophia University in Tokyo. He has an excellent command of languages, especially Japanese, English, German and Swiss German.
