Chief Underwriting Officer and Chief Strategy Officer

Ed joined Tokio Millennium Re Ltd. in February 2002. Prior to becoming Chief Underwriting Officer and Chief Strategy Officer, Ed was the Chief Risk Officer overseeing ERM and pricing. He also held other various positions during his first six years at Tokio Millennium Re Ltd. including working as a structured reinsurance underwriter, property catastrophe underwriter and managing the Market Solutions unit.

Prior to joining Tokio Millennium Re, Ed was an underwriter with Scandinavian Re and a consulting actuary in Bermuda and Chicago with Ernst & Young. Ed also worked with the North Carolina Department of Insurance.

Ed graduated from the University of Illinois with a master’s in accounting science, and a Master of Science in actuarial science. He is an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society, a member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and a Certified Public Accountant.
