Tokio Millennium Re Ltd. is an active investor in the catastrophe bond market. These investments are analysed and managed as though the exposure forms part of our traditional catastrophe reinsurance portfolio. For the most part Tokio Millennium Re Ltd. does not actively trade these catastrophe bonds in the secondary market.

Industry Loss Warranties (ILWs)

In addition to the Industry Loss Warranties that we transform for our counterparties, Tokio Millennium Re Ltd. is also a provider of its own net capacity for ILWs with a focus on US wind and earthquake exposures.
