Russell Brooke

Managing Director

Russell Brooke is Managing Director of Tokio Millennium Re Australia Branch and is responsible for the management of the branch and production of property treaty opportunities in Australia and New Zealand. Russell joined Tokio Millennium Re Ltd. in July 2010 to research, plan and implement TMR's entry into the Australian market.

Russell started his insurance career 21 years ago with Willis where he became an Executive Director on the Japan team. In 1996, Russell joined Tempest Re, the reinsurance subsidiary of the ACE Group of companies, where he became Chief Underwriter of international reinsurance and underwrote an extremely profitable book of business. In December 2005, Russell negotiated the sale of the Rosemont Re infrastructure and renewal rights to Ariel Re. He became a founding member and Chief Operating Officer of Ariel Re, an insurance and reinsurance company established with US$1 billion of unencumbered equity capital. Russell served on the Ariel Re Board and was responsible for establishing and implementing the Company's operational policies and initiatives.
