About Us

Tokio Millennium Re Australia (TMRA) is a branch of Tokio Millennium Re Ltd. (TMR), headquartered in Bermuda. The branch is as an APRA-authorised general insurer and has been capitalised with $80 million of assets in Australia. TMRA will produce property and casualty treaty opportunities emanating from Australia and New Zealand for TMR to underwrite. All risks underwritten by TMR will be bound by TMRA in Australia.

TMRA is building a team of producer underwriters focused on serving the Australian and New Zealand insurance markets. TMRA will work closely with our clients and their brokers to have a better understanding of their businesses and the associated risks. Through greater knowledge and understanding TMRA aims to provide relevant solutions on a timely basis.

As a branch of Tokio Millennium Re Ltd., TMRA enjoys a Standard & Poor’s rating of AA- and an A.M. Best financial strength rating of A++ (Superior). This positions TMRA as one of the top five APRA approved reinsurers in Australia.
